Hike and Snorkel Scouting Tour is a nature-lovers tour!
We will be going to the south of the bay by boat. Our first stop is Boca de Tomatlán, a nice typical beach village, right at the delta of the Horcones River. This place is where most water taxis leave to take guest to those beaches on the south shore of Bahia de Banderas, that can only be reached by water.
As we get to the bridge over the Horcones River, you’ll notice how busy this town is (buses, tourist, locals, cars, fisherman, boats everything is constantly in motion. And here is where we will start our hiking adventure to Colomitos. Make sure you spray yourself with enough bug repellent (biodegradable, please)!
We will be following the path approximately 1 mile away from Boca, the trail is easy to follow, some ups and down but we will take it slowly (as much as needed). Depending on season (rain or not rain) it may be slippery at some areas, so we recommend wearing good walking shoes, or strapped sandals.
As we arrive to Colomitos, a small charming cove characterized by blue and calm waters (most of the time), we will stop for a while to enjoy the fresh ocean breeze, take some time to relax and picture making. The boat will be waiting for us there, with all the necessary snorkeling equipment, for us to continue with our water adventure, as we will snorkel and discover many nice crates where marine animals inhabit.
Then, we will take you to Las Animas, a very popular beach with many restaurants to choose from. We’ll have some time for lunch (not included in the price). But if you are not hungry, just enjoy the beach, swim a little or choose from optional activities (extra cost) such as paddleboard, kayak, and horseback riding. We will be here approximately one hour, and then go back to the marina by boat.
