Scuba Diving El Morro – Advanced Cavern Dives

– Scuba Diving El Morro – An Inspiring Offshore Challenge –

Venture to the outer edge of Banderas Bay for an elite dive reserved for confident, certified divers. Here, El Morro’s jagged pinnacles rise from blue water, concealing interlaced caverns, swim-throughs, and dramatic walls. With small groups led by expert PADI instructors, you’ll experience a refined blend of safety, comfort, and genuine Pacific grandeur.

Scuba Diving El Morro – Experience Highlights

Navigate cavern entrances and tunnel systems; admire sea fans and granite relief that shelter octopus, lobster, and schooling fish. Watch for pelagics such as manta rays and, at times, sharks along the site’s exposed perimeter. Enjoy two tanks tailored to conditions, with strict buddy protocols and attentive briefings—an unforgettable pinnacle among Puerto Vallarta excursions.

What’s Included

Two dives by speed boat; small-group guiding with a dedicated PADI-certified instructor for each six divers; safety briefing and buddy checks; and on-site oversight by Marine Mammal/ dive-center professionals. Water temperature typically ranges 65–86°F (18–30°C); visibility ~20–100 ft (7–30 m); depth ~60–100 ft (18–30 m).

Destinations & Routes

Depart from Puerto Vallarta and head offshore to the bay’s outer rock pinnacles near the Pacific interface. On clear days, horizons can span Nayarit toward Punta Mita and back along the south shore toward Mismaloya, linking this blue-water run with broader Mexico activities and tours across the region, from Bucerías to Nuevo Vallarta.

Booking & Details

Reserve early to secure small-capacity spots. Requirements: advanced certification or a strong dive log (minimum 25 dives recommended) due to currents and exposed conditions.
